Refund and return policy
Last updated 1 August 2026
If something is not right, you should not have to fight for your money. This is exactly how returns and refunds work on Vipani.
Return windows
- Fashion, footwear, jewellery, bags and home: 7 days from delivery.
- Electronics and watches: 10 days from delivery.
- Beauty and books: 5 days from delivery, sealed and unused.
- Grocery: 3 days, and only for damaged, expired or wrong items.
How to raise a return
- Open Orders, pick the order and choose Return item.
- Select a reason and, for damage claims, add a photo.
- A pickup is scheduled within 48 hours across serviceable pincodes.
- Keep the item in its original packaging with tags and accessories intact.
What cannot be returned
- Innerwear, swimwear and pierced jewellery, for hygiene reasons.
- Products with a broken seal on beauty and personal care.
- Items marked non-returnable on the product page before you buy.
- Damage caused by use, washing against the care label, or unauthorised repair.
Refund timelines
- Prepaid orders: refunded to the original payment method within 3–5 working days of pickup.
- UPI: usually the same day the pickup is scanned.
- Cash on delivery: credited to the bank account you add during the return, within 5 working days.
- Cancelled before dispatch: refunded within 24 hours.
Replacements
Where the seller has stock, you can ask for a replacement instead of a refund. The replacement is dispatched once the courier collects the original item, and arrives in the standard delivery window for your pincode.
Delivery fees
Return pickup is free when the item is damaged, defective or not as described. For change-of-mind returns, the delivery fee already paid is not refunded.
If a refund is late
Write to [email protected] with the order id. If a refund crosses the promised timeline without explanation, we credit the amount to your Vipani balance while we chase the bank.
